Coach announced today their introduction of the Coach Maggie Collection as marvelous, smart, sophisticated, and an instant new classic; however, it will really depend on what we, Coach Lovers, really think of it, right? I have visited Coach.com to view this new line, and I think that Coach is has made the right call in their advertising.
So far and at a quick glance, I like the leather bags more than the op art or signature prints; however, my favorite so far is the Coach Maggie Ruby Hobo. I will be reviewing each of these bags at a later date, but wanted to give you a heads up on what's new and exciting.
Ok ladies, we have all been waiting on the edge of our seats for the new Coach Poppy Collection, and now the wait is over. Coach was right on the head with the name for the new line, Poppy, because they certainly do that. Wow! The colors a bright, bold, and eye-popping. I don't know that the seasoned Coach lovers will care for this line, but the younger generation will love it. I put together a grouping of some of the Coach Poppy Handbags in the new line to give you an idea of what they look like.
The new Coach Parker Perforated Op Art Shoulder Bag is a beautiful new addition to the Coach family. Class and sophistication radiates from this beauty. This is a leather bag with the Op Art design perforated into it. It carries a very soft, touchable look to it that is very warm and inviting. The large pleat centered on the front and the back adds just enough pizzaz to take it from ordinary to original.
For those of us who love storage and pockets, you will find two deep, outside gosset pockets, one on each side along with the standard inside zip pocket and cellphone and multipurpose pockets.
Storage is always a big seller for many women on the go, and this bag has plenty of that as it measures 10-1/2" L x 11" H x 5" W and provides 14" handle with 9" drop. The above picture really gives you a great idea of how the Coach Parker Perforated Leather Shoulder Bag will fit your body. With the top of the bag starting at breastline and the bottom ending at mid-hip, you can see how this bag will provide you with the storage that you need.
In my opinion, the Coach Parker Perforated Op Art Shoulder Bag is a wonderful bag to have; not just in look and design, but elegance, class and versatility. It is made to be used for all occassions, and will fit into any wardrobe beautifully.
The new Coach Ali Large Hogo is the perfect bag for me. It is large, roomy, and the color is brilliant. I have often complained about the bottom of several Coach bags not being wide enough, and the Coach Ali has certainly taken this into consideration. Not that they listened to me by any means, but the design team included a wider bottom that I think will really help this bag stand above the rest.
I love the tangerine color that has been added to this design. It is a larger bag and the color really makes it pop. Adding the crossbody strap will make carrying this large bag a snap and can hold everything you need for a long outing. The crossbody strap measures 46'1/2" so even the tallest of women can wear it with ease. I'm 6' tall myself, so I really appreciate the added length.
I'm expecting great reviews for this beauty. What do you think?
I haven't been able to find too much information on this interesting Coach bag, the Coach Canvas Tattoo Tote. This canvas Coach bag features the Coach tattoo art which I don't really understand. On the top of the tattoo design is a winged horse pulling a carriage and driver. The middle of the design has a shop-board sign that reads COACH Leatherware with roses and thorned vines all around. Finally, the bottom of the design is a creepy masquerade-type mask with skeleton teeth. From a distance, the design looks very elegant, but upon closer look, it scares me. Truly!
If you remove the "fear factor" in the tattoo design, the bag is a nice tote bag. I like how the cream-colored canvas and the gold leather blend to make a soft, neutral palate. And now the handles. The chain link with the black leather interlaced...Love them!
Sadly, I must say that I don't think this is a bag that I would carry due to the tattoo design. I like the colors of the art work, but I just don't understand the mixing of images. Can someone explain this to me?
Oh....what a fun bag. If you are like me, you have kids and always end up carrying extra stuff just for them in your purse. Well, Coach has a bag that can fit all your belongings, your kids' toys, and the kitchen sink all in one fun, playful bag.
This fun Coach bag is called the Coach Bonnie Jeweled Canvas Large Tote. It is made from a soft, cotton twill blend that is decorated with a fun, jeweled graphic print and just a tease of patent leather trim. It measures 17-1/4"H x 17"L x 6-1/2"W with 25" handbles with 7-3/4" drop and a removable, leather-threaded, chain-link strap. This bag is huge.
The inside is dressed with a soft, fabric lining which hides an inside zip pocket, cellphone and multifunction pockets, and ring to clip an accessory or key fob. Now, obviously this bag has a ton of room inside, but what about the storage on the outside for those need-to-reach-quick items, i.e. keys, lipbalm, hand sanitizer, etc.? On the outside, you will find 4 seperate storage compartments; two turn lock gosset pockets, one on each side; one framed front pocket; and one back magnetic snap pocket.
I for one think this bag is fun and playful, and the size is a huge bonus for this bag, but it is a little expensive with a price tag of $1000. Unfortunately, I will have to look for a used one that is on sale at a discount.

The convertible handles allow you to switch between a satchel to a shoulder bag in seconds. With measurements of 12"L x 6"H x 4-1/2"W, you will have plenty of room for all your belongings.

Ok, well that is all the details, but what do I really think about this particular bag. I love the size and of course the design, but I'm not too hip with the sateen fabric. Yes, it is shiny and definitely eye-catching, but I'm always afraid that I will snag the material and ruin my beautiful bag. How about you?
